Antonio Padron Museum of Gáldar (Gran Canaria) welcomes a unique sample of 'Nativity of the World' that through thirty pieces makes a journey through the artistic traditions related to Christmas celebrations and religious festivities in four continents. In a statement, the council explained that this island of nativity scenes from countries as diverse as Mali, Peru, United States, China, Japan, France, Spain, Portugal and Tanzania, among others, invite visitors to take a tour in which the differences are clear cultural, artistic and even religious, Christians in America, Asia, Africa and Europe.
Visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 15.00 and from 18.00 to 20.00, Saturday 10.00 to 13.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00 and Sundays from 10.00 to 13.00 hours.
This exhibition of nativity scenes and will remain open until 8 January, has been organized by the Museum Antonio Padrón and Nativity Scene Makers Association of San Juan de Dios Canarios and collaboration features Gáldar Building and City Hall knights.
